One Great Tool to Help Advertise Your Field Service Business

There are many ways to advertise a business.  You can post an ad in a local paper, buy a billboard, send out flyers in the mail, or just hope word of mouth will get you far enough.  But how would you like a simple way to advertise your field service business without having to do anything more than your daily work?

It’s possible.  The trick is to use your work trucks.

Placing your company logo, name, phone number, etc. on your trucks is one of the smartest (not to mention lowest costing) business decisions you can make.  For one, it helps you reach an audience around the areas you already work in.  Potential customers you had no way of contacting before can now see and contact you.  If they see you parked outside a neighbors’ house, they will call knowing you work in their area and they see the great work you do.  Not only do you reach new audiences, you also promote yourself as professional to the current customer.  Pulling up to the customer’s home in a company marked van shows much more professionalism and credibility then showing up in a blank truck.

It is also a great branding tool.  Your brand is your company’s everything.  People feel more comfortable choosing a company they recognize.  Getting your company logo or slogan out there for the world to see is one way to become recognizable.

Tips:
Keep the design simple.  Something flashy may catch attention, but you don’t want to overwhelm your audience either.  Be sure to include your company name, a phone number, and the services you provide.  You don’t need to list every service, but make sure your big money makers are listed in case a particular field service is left off.  Also, keep your vehicles clean.  Don’t spend the money on an awesome design for your truck, only to let it become covered in dirt.  This is just one more way to show professionalism and accountability to your customers, by showing you take care of your equipment.

And for Pete's sake please don't do what these people did!
