We try not to talk too much about field service management software in this blog (this blog isn't about us, it's about helping you and your business succeed). But occasionally it's justified, especially when I read about contractors getting nailed on legal grounds.
Here's the article I read this morning: Landscape Contractor Ordered to Pay $500,000
Now, it sounds like this company may have had a few other things going on, but check this out:
"The employees... were not paid time-and-a-half for overtime, due in part to failure to provide adequate records of hours worked." (emphasis added)
Adequate records of hours worked. Time tracking. It's amazing how something so basic to hourly labor can cost a company so much money.
