Found this one via IGIN.com’s “News You Can Use” today. The Grasshopper Company, a manufacturer of riding rotary mowers, has created a Fuel Expense & Emissions Calculator.
You just plug in your estimated fuel rates (gasoline, diesel, or propane), how many mowers you’re running, and how many hours per machine, per year. And then it spits out all kinds of interesting information.
- Fuel expenses per year
- Potential emissions reduction
- Potential revenue increases (via cost reduction)
- Trade-in values
- Summary profitability
I’m curious, do you think Grasshopper is accurate on their calculations? What else does your lawn care company do to control costs and increase productivity?
