Angie’s List: A Great Tool for Field Service Businesses for Free!

Free help for your business
I’m sure all of you have seen the Angie’s List commercial or have seen one of her ads posted somewhere, but do you even know what Angie’s List is or does?  To be honest, I really didn’t until I looked it up online and what I found was actually pretty interesting and really useful!

As the website says,  “Angie's List is where you'll find thousands of unbiased reports and reviews about service companies in your area. Our members share their experiences with each other so that you can choose the service company that's right for your job the first time around.”

The greatest part is that it’s free for you to use!  You, as the business owner, join the site for free.  Angie’s members, the consumers, pay to have access to reviews of companies, receive the newsletter, and a few other benefits.

The only real downside to this process is it is almost impossible to have a review removed.  Reviews will be removed if:

  1. The report is fraudulently posted.
  2. The member who posted the report chooses to remove it.
  3. The report was a successful part of Angie’s complaint resolution.

If a customer does give you a bad review, you will most likely be stuck with it up on the site.  This isn’t entirely bad, especially if you give Angie’s List a list of customers you know only have good things to say about your company.

So if you get a chance, give this site a try!  It really can only help you in the long run, plus with no cost, you aren’t wasting any resources on failed marketing ideas.
