Field Service Management Software and Oversite

One of our customers recently came across a problem that we thought we would share with you. We have learned that if one person has a problem, it is very likely other people have this same problem, so it can’t hurt to share.

This particular customer is the owner of his company and spends most of his time out in the field.  He has a management staff that is in office handling the field service management software.  The issue arose when things were not being done through the field service software that needed to be done daily.  The owner did not know how to check on these things and for some reason or another the daily tasks required by the system were not being completed.

oversee and balanceOur main point is to oversee every aspect of your company as an owner.  Being an owner means balancing many different jobs.  Just because you have others managing different areas of your business doesn’t mean you shouldn’t oversee how things are running.  Owners need to know how to look for problems.  If they don’t, who will?  It is important for owners to understand each system incase an employee is ill or just not completing certain work.  That way the owner will be prepared to take over.

You can afford the time it takes to learn new things.  You cannot, however, afford the time it takes to solve problems you have no knowledge about.  So get learning!
