I give you permission...

Life is a busy. Owning a business is busier. You wear so many hats their pushing up the ceiling, and there’s never enough time to get it all done. You’re in the shop early, making sure schedules and jobs are lined up, and you stay late, making sure billings gets pushed through and payroll is all set.

It’s a demanding life. It means you miss some ball games, peek on your kids after they are in bed, and pick up dinner on the way home.

And while, to a certain degree, that’s just the way things are, I want to encourage you to take off a bit early sometimes. And by early, I mean 5:30pm. Hit the grocery store and pick up some steaks, a loaf of fresh bread, and some fixings for a salad. Call your spouse and tell them to get the grill hot. And sit down to dinner with your family.

Yup, you guessed it. This post is a “softie” one. It has nothing to with better business management, or field service software. It’s just a reminder that your business will go on without you (at least for a little while).

So get outa here and enjoy your weekend!
